Otherwise known as "Cows Tail or Canopy Walks", Aerial Trekking caters for high volumes of traffic of all ages and abilities.
Courses can be designed with many sections, each graded similar to ski runs on a ski resort, blue for easy, ranging to black for extremely hard. The number of elements and the height of each section will vary.
Typically, following a safety brief, a participant would ascend whilst attached to a retractable safety line and then traverse a series of elements between poles or trees before descending on a zip wire or fan descender.
Both safety systems available for Aerial Trekking require low levels of staffing
- Steel mounted overhead track – this system can only be installed on a steel frame mounted on poles or suspended from an existing structure (indoor course).
- Belay wires – best suited for tree courses although equally as effective on poles.
