Up to three participants are attached to a bar supported by two wires approximately two metres from the ground. The other ends of the wires are attached to bearings on a beam, spanning a gap between two thirteen meter high poles. Participants are then hoisted on an electric winch from a third seventeen meter ‘apex’ pole until they are almost level and the wires tight and almost horizontal.
One of the participants pulls a quick release and the three accelerate into a breathtaking pendulum dive.
This element simulates a Parachute jump. Participants ascend to a platform belayed by a member of staff and are attached to the Fan Cable. They then jump from the platform and free fall until the gearing on the Fan slows their descent to a gentle landing. This exercise is a good way to finish a day’s program or conclude an Aerial Trekking Course
